Provides for ten months of work in NGOs and social enterprises in India

The American India Foundation’s William J. Clinton Fellowship for Service in India provides for ten months of work in NGOs and social enterprises in India. The fellowship pairs young professionals with selected organizations in India in order to accelerate impact and create effective projects that are replicable, scalable, and sustainable.

The program’s mission is to accelerate social and economic change in India while creating a lasting connection between the leaders of tomorrow and India. To this end, the programs aims to develop leaders who are able to achieve accelerated impact, committed to serving the marginalized and underprivileged, visionaries and entrepreneurs in many sectors (including international development, public health, the environment, education, and human rights and advocacy), lifelong ambassadors for India, and organized and networked to become a force for social change.

To be eligible, candidates must be citizens or permanent residents of the U.S. (or citizens of India) between the ages of 21 and 34 during the tenure of the fellowship, and must possess an undergraduate degree by the time they take up the fellowship.
