Provides for a year-long professional development opportunity in Germany

Robert Bosch Foundation Fellowships provide twenty accomplished young Americans each year with the opportunity to complete a comprehensive nine- to twelve-month professional development program in Germany. Fellows participate in an intensive German language training program (as needed), complete two customized internships at leading German public and private sector institutions, and meet with German and European leaders while traveling on three professional seminar programs.

In addition to these experiences, Bosch Fellowships provide a monthly stipend of €2,000, health insurance, travel to and from the program orientation in Washington, D.C., and travel to and from Germany.

Candidates must be U.S. citizens between 23 and 34 years of age at the time of application. Candidates should also show evidence of outstanding professional performance and community involvement. No German language skills are required at the time of application, but a strong willingness and commitment to learn the language are essential.

The Bosch Foundation prefers candidates who have a graduate degree and at least two years of relevant work experience in business administration, journalism, law, public policy, international relations, or a related field. Those who hold a bachelor’s degree alone should have five years of relevant experience.
