The Eben Tisdale Fellowship offers students an opportunity to learn about high-tech public policy issues through a hands-on summer experience in Washington, D.C. Each award provides a full scholarship and stipend to attend the Institute on Business and Government Affairs (IBGA). Tisdale Fellows will be placed with a high-tech company or association, take two classes at George Mason University, and live in furnished apartments on George Washington University’s downtown campus. Fellows also attend weekly issues seminar lunches and periodic briefings at institutions such as the U.S. Department of State, World Bank, and Federal Reserve.
Undergraduate students with an interest in public policy and the high-tech industry are eligible. A background in computer science or other high technology fields is helpful but not required. Upperclassmen will be given priority in the selection process.
The Tisdale Fellowship is designed for outstanding undergraduate students who are interested technology and public policy. The selection committee will be looking for students with a concrete record of academic achievement and civic mindedness.
