American Chemical Society 2020 Summer School Program in Nuclear and Radiochemistry

The American Chemical Society sponsored Nuclear and Radiochemistry Summer School Program is seeking curious and highly motivated students with strong science backgrounds for the 2020 program. If selected, students receive an all-expense paid opportunity to complete a 6 week summer course in Nuclear and Radiochemistry in either California or New York. They also earn hours (tuition paid) of undergraduate chemistry credit through either San Jose State University or SUNY-Stony Brook. Selected students also receive a stipend of $4,000.


Candidates should be undergraduates with an interest in nuclear science who are presently in their sophomore or junior year of study at a US college or university. They should have completed at least two years of chemistry, one year of physics and one year of calculus. Applicants must be US citizens.


The deadline for completed applications is February 1, 2020. A completed application consists of the submitted web form, as well as an official transcript and 2 letters of recommendation. Transcripts and letters should be submitted to Professor Fancesconi, address is below.
