The China- US Scholars Program (CUSP) will be carried out by the Institute of International Education, and will support 48 American and Chinese faculty and students in the arts, humanities, and social sciences with opportunities to conduct research, study or teach abroad in China, Hong Kong or the US in the 2021-2022 academic year. In its conception and design, the program is similar to the suspended U.S.-China component of the Fulbright program, although the new program is funded by support from private foundations and doesn’t carry the Fulbright name.
The application for CUSP, the exchange program for American scholars and students in the arts, humanities and social sciences to teach, study or conduct research abroad in China and Hong Kong SAR, is now open. The deadline to apply is April 15, 2021 at 11:59pm EDT. Programs can range from five to ten months and must take place between August 2021 and May 2022.
