A summer initiative created in 2020, the Near-Peer Leaders are student advisers supporting fellow undergraduate community members in putting their strongest, most authentic candidacy forward within a fellowship or research endeavor. Peer Leaders provide a supportive, safe, creative, and encouraging space for students to brainstorm ideas, receive feedback, and think about how to best articulate and genuinely present themselves, their research ideas, and/or their professional aspirations and community engagement on paper.
Near-Peer Leaders are eager to support Undergraduate Research & Fellowships through facilitating both group and individual advising sessions, and look forward to hearing from students.
The Near-Peer Leaders program has ended for Summer 2020. Please check this page in Spring 2021 for updates on next summer and, for those interested, to apply to become a Near-Peer Leader!
