Teach English Abroad and Change Happens (TEACH) Fellowship in Taiwan (7/1)

The Institute of International Education (IIE) would like to invite interested applicants to a webinar for more information regarding the Teach English Abroad and Change Happens (TEACH) Fellowship Program in Taiwan.

IIE will be joined by representatives at Association of International Cultural and Educational Exchange Taiwan (AICEE), the sponsor of the TEACH Fellowship, based in Taipei.

Applications will be accepted until July 2024, but for expedited consideration, we have established a priority deadline of April 15, 2024. Applications received by that date will be given priority consideration for placements at Taiwan schools.

About the Program
TEACH Fellows are placed in public and private schools in and around Taipei and New Taipei City in different subjects and at different education levels. The 2024-25 academic year is from August 2024 to the end of June 2025. The TEACH Fellowship is sponsored by the Association of International Cultural and Educational Exchange Taiwan (AICEE) in cooperation with IIE.

Benefits
TEACH Fellows receive a monthly stipend between approx. $2,000 and $2,800 USD based on their placement and experience. In addition, AICEE provides flight reimbursement, visa guidance, health insurance and airport pick-up. AICEE also organizes cultural activities for TEACH Fellows to learn more about Taiwanese culture.

Eligibility
Candidates for the TEACH Fellowship should be native English speakers and hold U.S. citizenship. Upcoming graduates and recent alumni from an accredited Bachelor’s degree program in Education or related fields, or students completing TESOL/TEFL degrees are especially welcome. In addition, candidates should have at least one of the following by the fall 2024 semester:


1. a state-issued teaching license or certificate in any subject at any level (applicants with teaching licenses or certificates are preferred),
2. TESOL/TEFL certificate/degree from a program with at least 120 hours of student/teaching contact, or
3. a minimum of two year’s teaching experience at public of private institutions.
