Sixteen College, Ten Engineering, and One General Studies affiliates awarded National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowships

The National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program (NSF GRFP) has awarded 16 College, 10 Engineering, and 1 General Studies affiliates 2018 NSF Graduate Research Fellowships. Fellowships were offered to 2,000 individuals out of an applicant pool of more than 12,000. Six College affiliates received honorable mentions.

The NSF GRFP recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students in NSF-supported science, technology, engineering and mathematics disciplines who are pursuing research-based master’s and doctoral degrees at accredited United States institutions. Fellows are awarded a three-year annual stipend of $34,000, along with a $12,000 allowance to be used towards graduate school costs.

Awardees also benefit from opportunities for international research and professional development, XSEDE Supercomputer access and the freedom to conduct their own research at any accredited United States institution of graduate education.
