The American Council of Engineering Companies of New York (ACEC New York) will award a number of scholarships to undergraduate students intending to become consulting engineers.
At least 20 scholarships will provide a stipend of $2,500, as well as two scholarships of $5,000, which will be issued via check to be used during the student's final year of undergraduate study at one of the approved engineering schools in New York State. Only students having completed either their third year of study (within a 4-year program) or fourth year of study (5-year program) by June are eligible to receive the scholarship.
The applicant's major must be in a field of engineering/surveying:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Structural Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Environmental Engineering
- Chemical Engineering
- Engineering Technology
- Surveying
Applicants are only eligible to receive an ACEC New York scholarship once. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or a U.S. resident and intend to remain in New York State post-graduation and being his/her career in the state.
