What goes into a good letter of recommendation, and how can I be sure my letters are strong? How can I find someone who will write me a letter of affiliation? Join URF in a workshop devoted to providing assistance in identifying members of your community -- faculty, staff, community members, and/or professionals—who are best positioned to endorse your candidacy for a fellowship, or who will be able to support your research as a supervisory affiliate. In this seminar, we will focus on the basic principles of how to cultivate strong relationships with faculty, how best to approach faculty for a letter of recommendation, and how to support your referees in submitting the best letter possible on your behalf.
