The Asian American Initiative at Columbia University Summer Internship Program

Term: Summer

In-person internships in NYC and San Francisco, supporting the work of TAAF

The Asian American Initiative at Columbia is pleased to announce two summer internships for Columbia University undergraduate students at The Asian American Foundation (TAAF). The internships are in-person in either New York City or San Francisco.

TAAF serves the Asian American and Pacific Islander community in their pursuit of belonging and prosperity that is free from discrimination, slander, and violence. Founded in 2021 in response to the rise in anti-Asian hate and to address the long standing underinvestment in AAPI communities, TAAF funds best in class organizations working to mobilize against hate and violence, educate communities, and reclaim our narratives through our core pillars of Anti-Hate & Safety, Education, Narrative Change, and Resources & Representation.

In support of our mission, TAAF is excited to offer an internship program that will provide participants with challenging, meaningful, and real-world experience. Participants will support departments on a variety of high-stakes projects related to administrative support, process development and improvement, and project management. In addition to having a dedicated mentor, participants will receive access to leadership and professional growth activities to gain valuable career experience in a fast-paced startup environment focused on social change. Summer interns will also have the opportunity to attend the TAAF Summit in May.
