The El Pomar Fellowship is a selective two-year post-baccalaureate leadership training program designed to educate recipients in the role of philanthropy in the nonprofit sector while also offering direct management experience. Fellows spend their first year staffing and managing the Colorado nonprofit’s programs, and the second year as coordinators of regional activities and directors of programs.
Fellows receive a starting annual salary, plus benefits. Post-baccalaureate work experience and/or education will be considered in determining salary.
Applicants must have graduated from a four-year college or university before taking up the fellowship, and must have some connection to the state of Colorado—as residents, students or graduates of a Colorado college, or immediate family members of Colorado residents. Applicants should have strong leadership capability, the ability to work well as part of a team, and a strong interest in public service or civic engagement. Strong communication skills and personal initiative are also important.
