The Ellison Institute of Technology (EIT), alongside the University of Oxford, is committed to developing the global technology innovators and leaders of the future. In addition to the project-based learning with EIT and mentorship from world experts in the EIT Faculty, the Ellison Scholars program fully funds course fees for doctoral study at the University of Oxford, and includes a generous stipend to cover all living expenses, plus the equivalent of paid internships.
The Institute focuses on work on the following themes: Health and Medical Science, Food Security & Sustainable Agriculture, Climate Change & Clean Energy, and Government Innovation & Era of Artificial Intelligence.

Eligibility
Applicants must meet the University of Oxford’s entry requirements for their proposed doctoral course. This means they must:
- Have, or be on track to be awarded, the relevant qualification(s) required by the University of Oxford,
- Have met, or be on track to meet, the grade requirements for their chosen doctoral course and
- Have met, or be on track to meet, the University’s English language requirements for their chosen doctoral course.
- Applicants who do not meet these criteria are strongly dissuaded from applying for the funding opportunity.
Eligible applicants must also meet the following selection criteria before starting an application.
Demonstrated alignment with their chosen EIT Project;
They are trusted collaborators who build strong relationships, foster teamwork and demonstrate the ability to bring people together to achieve success.
They are high-performers who demonstrate outstanding academic achievements, intellectual curiosity and the ability to apply knowledge critically and effectively to solve complex challenges.
They are tenacious achievers who view setbacks as opportunities to learn and adapt and demonstrate resilience and determination to overcome challenges and achieve success.
They are visionary learners who embrace technological advancements with creativity, challenge the status quo and explore innovative solutions to achieve transformative outcomes.
They are trustworthy people who value honesty, foster openness and build trust through commitment to collective success.
