Global Health Corps Fellowships

Term: Academic Year

Places students with an interest in global health equity in organizations in the U.S. and around the world

The Global Health Corps (GHC) provides opportunities for young people from diverse backgrounds to work on the frontlines of the fight for global health equity through year-long fellowships. GHC identifies partner organizations that are working to improve healthcare access and health outcomes for the poor and places fellows in year-long paid positions in these organizations, where they may work on a variety of projects. Current GHC placement opportunities exist in Burundi, Malawi, Rwanda, Uganda, the U.S., and Zambia.

GHC fellows are provided with stipends to cover all travel, living and work expenses for the duration of the Fellowship. In addition to covering these expenses, all fellows will receive a completion award at the end of the fellowship. Before the fellowship year begins, GHC also provides a two- or three-week training program to prepare them for their experiences.

Candidates should be under the age of 30 and have a bachelor’s degree by the time they would take up the fellowship. Some international experience and/or experience in health-related fields may be helpful for candidate applying to certain positions, but neither is necessary for a successful applicant.
