Provide financial support to graduating seniors pursuing public service projects anywhere in the world

Samuel Huntington Public Service Awards provide $15,000 stipends to graduating college seniors to pursue public service projects anywhere in the world. Awards enable recipients to engage in a meaningful public service activity for one year before proceeding on to graduate school or a career. Any current senior at an accredited college or university in the U.S. is eligible.

Awards will be made based on the quality of an applicant’s proposal, overall academic record, and other personal achievements. Applicants should design their own proposals for the year—these may encompass any activity that furthers the public good. Applicants may propose independent projects for themselves or projects working with established nonprofit public service organizations.
