The Library of Congress Junior Summer Fellows program offers undergraduate and graduate students insights into the environment, culture, and collections of the world’s largest and most comprehensive library. Fellows work as summer interns for ten weeks in one of the library’s many divisions or special collections.
Fellows receive a weekly stipend of $450.
Applicants must be U. S. citizens and either currently enrolled in a undergraduate or graduate degree program or have graduated within the past year from an undergraduate program.
Applications are evaluated in part for how well a candidate’s course selection, work experience, language skills, and other interests relate to the various subject areas outlined in the fellowship announcement. Experience or education in library-related fields can be helpful, but is not required.
