Provides for funded research in science and engineeringĀ at a U.S. Navy laboratory for the summer

The Naval Research Enterprise Internship Program provides an opportunity for students to participate in research at a U.S. Department of the Navy laboratory during the summer. Among other goals, the program aims to encourage participating students to pursue science and engineering careers and to further their education via mentoring by laboratory personnel and participation in research.

Stipends for undergraduates are $5500, and stipends for graduate students are $6500.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, although some laboratories limit eligibility to U.S. citizens. Applicants must also be sophomores, juniors, seniors, or graduate students enrolled at a four-year U.S. college or university deemed accredited by the U.S. Department of Education.
