The Pershing Square Foundation has endowed graduate scholarships to support individuals committed to tackling social issues through full funding of the tuition, college fees, and living expenses associated with the MBA year of Oxford University’s 1+1 MBA Programme.
Oxford’s 1+1 MBA Programme allows students to combine the depth of a specialized one-year Master’s degree in one of nine partner departments at Oxford with the breadth of the Saïd Business School’s one-year MBA degree. The program aims to provide its students with a greater understanding of how management principles can be applied to social issues that partner departments’ curricula address.
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree by the time they would begin their studies and be suitably prepared for their proposed study through their educational and relevant work experience. Applicants must complete the Oxford 1+1 MBA application and also apply to the partnering MSc program of their choosing no later than the January application phase in their intended year of entry. Those admitted to the 1+1 Programme will be invited to submit a statement to the Pershing Square Scholarships committee, and a number of finalists will be invited to interview with the committee.
Scholarship selection criteria include academic strength and leadership potential, personal character, experience demonstrating commitment to global challenges, and a clear sense of how the program would enhance the recipient’s ability to meet his or her goals.
