Provides support for students to conduct research at Swiss public universities for two or three months

ThinkSwiss Research Scholarships support American undergraduate and graduate students conducting research at Swiss public universities or research institutes for two to three months. Scholarships are open to students in any field.

Each scholarship provides a stipend of CHF 1,050 per month, for a maximum of CHF 3,150 for three months. Recipients must agree to contribute to a blog to share their experiences in Switzerland and to carry out at least one activity upon their return home as student ambassadors of research in Switzerland.

Candidates must be currently enrolled at an accredited U.S. college or university and have completed their second year by the time their research visit in Switzerland begins. The application requires written confirmation of support from a researcher at a Swiss university or research institute. While French, German, or Italian language skills are not required, knowledge of any of these languages will be helpful. The working language will generally be English.
