This semester, the first awardees of the new Columbia College Travel Award for Presenters shared their research at conferences across the country! CC students can now apply for this funding to support travel to conferences where they are presenting their research, both domestically and internationally.
Eftychia Kotsiou CC'27
Eftychia Kotsiou CC'27 studies Mathematics and Physics. She traveled to Denver, Colorado for the APS Conference for Undergraduate Women and Gender Minorities in Physics (CU*iP) 2026. Her research posted focused on the epoxy bond performance of the International Axion Observatory, a next-generation helioscope uniquely designed to probe solar axions and axion-like particles over a broad mass range, by converting the axions into X-ray photons via a strong magnetic field.
