Join URF and a representative from Durham University to discuss graduate study in the UK! Durham University was founded in 1832 as the third oldest university in England and is a Russell Group research-intensive University. Durham University has four faculties which are the Business School, Arts and Humanities, Science, and Social Sciences and Health. Master's degrees are typically only 1-year in length in the UK, and PhD programs are usually 3 years full-time. Durham has partnerships with both the Fulbright and Marshall full-tuition awards. Since sport is a large part of Durham's culture, they offer up to a 40% scholarship for student-athletes pursuing a postgraduate program. They also offer departmental postgraduate scholarships for students looking for additional funding opportunities. Durham recently introduced new £5,000 and £10,000 Inspiring Excellence Scholarships, and students may submit the scholarship application up until May 29th, 2026.
