Congratulations to the students and alumni from Columbia University’s three undergraduate programs who have been recognized by the National Science Foundation - Graduate Research Fellowship Program!

The National Science Foundation - Graduate Research Fellowship Program (NSF-GRFP) provides exceptional graduate students pursuing research-based degrees in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), with three years of financial support over a five-year period. The fellowship recognizes students from across the United States who have demonstrated outstanding potential for significant achievements in research.

One of the nation’s most prestigious fellowship programs, the NSF GRFP has, for more than 75 years, played a vital role in developing the talent pipeline necessary to sustain American leadership in science. This year, the NSF received over 14,000 applications and offered 2,500 awards. Of these awardees, 48 Columbia College, General Studies, and Columbia Engineering affiliates have been offered fellowships, with an additional 11 affiliates recognized with an Honorable Mention.
