The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans Info Session

The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans provides $90,000 in funding to immigrants and children of immigrants pursuing graduate degrees in the United States. The 2026-2027 application is open now and is due October 29 at 2 pm ET. Columbia students are invited to join the PD Soros staff for an information session covering the background of the Fellowship, the selection criteria, and the application process, including guidance on essays and recommendations. There will be time for questions. The Fellowship supports graduate students in every field and discipline—from the humanities and arts to law, business, medicine, and the sciences—and Fellows join a community of peers from across the country who share a common drive: hard-working, creative, willing to ask big questions, and looking to make a significant contribution to American society or their academic fields. New Americans at any stage of graduate study, or planning to apply to graduate programs, are encouraged to attend.
