What does it take to be a changemaker today? What is the difference between creating a prosperous world versus a principled world? What can we learn from transformative leaders of the past? How can we harmonize our desire to practice our own values and core beliefs with the need to adapt and conform to societal and institutional expectations around us? This workshop will explore ways for students to understand and write about how you can be an agent of positive change in whatever discipline and arena you become part of in the years to come. The workshop will be lead by Prof. Hitendra Wadhwa, Professor of Practice at Columbia Business School, and founder of the Mentora Institute and Mentora Foundation. Prof. Wadhwa received his MBA and PhD from the Sloan School at MIT, worked at McKinsey and Company, and founded and led a Web 1,0 startup in Silicon Valley. His research and teaching on Personal Leadership & Success - the most popular leadership elective at the business school - has been covered by Fortune, Psychology Today, Inc, Fast Company, Forbes and BBC.
