Near-Peer Event | "Connecting the Dots": Developing an Outline for your Personal Statement

This workshop will focus on developing a detailed outline for your personal statement by addressing two pitfalls commonly faced by fellowship applicants: (1) diving into a personal story without a focused trajectory; and (2) failing to connect ‘nonlinear’ interests and experiences to the mission of the fellowship program. Near-Peer Leader, Edita Bytyqi will lead this session, paying particular attention to themes of motivation and impact through workshop exercises designed to help participants better define their professional “path”, identify connections between influences and experiences that brought them to this opportunity, and create a seamless flow between previous experiences and longer term goals for impact.
